We know that most people will help somebody in distress without a second thought. If someone falls in the street, people will help to pick them up. However in more serious situations, such as if someone were to suffer from a heart attack or stroke, then the vast majority of people would not know how to react.
The most obvious thing to do is call 999, which we always recommend to be the first action of any bystanders. However people may be unsure what to do in the interim while the ambulance arrives. We know if the unfortunate were to happen to us we would hope that at least one person would know how to react.
Therefore OJ Health and Safety are offering residents of Ossett, the town our head offices are based in, free CPR courses.
We run these courses out of our head office which is on the 1st floor, Dickinson House, Bank Street (just beside Barclays bank between Chicksters Café and Philips Hair Dressers). There is no booking required, and the spaces are virtually unlimited, so simply turn up to receive free basic training on how to perform vital, life-saving CPR.
The next session is on Friday 8th July between 10am and 12pm. If you would like to find out more simply call us on 01924 261789 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
